1st SOCIAL EVENT!

‘Karaoke Night’ was held on Saturday as the first official club function for 2016.
‘Jack Prince’ (the English Warbler) kicked off the night with an Ed Sheerin song (I think?..a bit dusty Sunday.) and scored himself a salubrious beverage as promised!
As the crowd grew to ’12’ things started to get going. Songs were selected and sung with gusto! Meg Bown was the first junior to belt out a Rolling Stones classic with her dad and did very well!
Others jumped on board as the lights went down and they weren’t always in tune but hey…we had fun
Thanks to all those that turned up later on to make it a successful night when it looked a bit bleak early on.
#houserules ; )

P.S As you can see above Barnesy & Riley had a ball but we’re not too sure about James?

WEEKEND GAMES!!

Under 15

Tough game against Camberwell! 6:6 at half time with the boys really getting into form as a team. Thanks to the U13 boys for stepping up to help with numbers, a great opportunity for them to be challenged. Unfortunately the boys went down 10 goals to 14
(*thanks Mr Godber*)

Under 17

Malvern 25 Camberwell 5
Tim scored in every quarter (7g-1A) after dominating face offs yet again. Aaron was able to get plenty of shots off through out the game finishing with (6g-2A). Mitch Baker was again very productive feeding from the back Mitch finished with (3G-5A). Tommy Bown was busy all over the field scoring (3G-3A) to finish his day. Ben Chapman out of goals for the day (as he is away next 3 weeks on a school camp) showed the middies how it is done (3G-1A). Mitch Reid was our fill in goalie who must have enjoyed himself as I didn’t hear him screaming for help or get me out of here.
Issac worked up and down from the midfield picking up a single goal. Sammy “B” also picked up a single as did Sammy Todhunter who went down to the crease to stick one in the back of the net.
Our speedy Roo boy is getting closer to scoring each week.
Half our goals were assisted which is always pleasing.
