All Malvern Lacrosse players interested in upcoming Australian Teams
Australian Lacrosse Association and Lacrosse Victoria have info on their websites regarding selection trials for U21 team for next year’s ASPAC tournament in New Zealand.
Malvern Lacrosse Club has decided to offer to pay half the registration fee for our players who are interested in participating in these trials.

Victoria Lacrosse News
Some time ago Lacrosse Victoria advertised for coaches and managers for the:
Boys Under 17 and Under 19 teams
and the
Girls Under 17 and Under 21 teams.
The state of play at the moment is that there has been only two coach applications, one for the Under 19 boys team & one for the U17 Girls team and one expression of interest from a person outside the sport for a managers position.
The Association recognises how difficult it is to find people to undertake these responsible roles and is always pleased to receive applications. Equally we have a responsibility to parents and players to appoint coaches and managers who we can be confident will do the job competently.
It is planned that interviews will be held on Thursday 2 December 2010. If applications are not received by the day before interviews (Wednesday 1 December 2010), the Association will have no option but to cancel its involvement in these national events.
It would be appreciated if this message could be distributed as widely as possible and in particular directed to those known to have an interest in coaching and managing. Under no circumstances will the appointment of coaches and managers be a ‘fire sale’ – we will avoid compromising on the capability of those who are appointed. It will not be a case of the last or only person left who gets the job.
Coaches and managers of Victorian teams are regarded by Lacrosse Victoria as leaders in the sport and deserving the status which comes with appointment to these positions.
All applications should be forwarded to the Lacrosse Office by the due date – Wednesday 1 Decemvber 2010.
Australian Lacrosse Classic – Warrnambool Victoria
Sunday, 17th October 2010 The ‘Australian Lacrosse Classic’ is the first event of its kind to be held in Australia.
Based on the very successful lacrosse tournaments in North America, the event will feature team from all over Australia and the World.
