It’s with great sadness that I inform all current and past players/members of the Malvern family of the passing of Phillip Garrett on the weekend.
Over recent times Phil had faced health issues, however only (2) weeks ago at past players day appeared in a better place looking forward to long service and retirement.
Phil’s contribution to Malvern is significant as a committee member and referee, and his legacy lives on with his son James Garrett who plays in State League.
Our thoughts and condolences to Jayne, Matthew and James.
There will be a funeral service this Thursday for all those wanting to attend.
