BBQ

With the BBQ fundraiser just around the corner, I’d like to make all aware of the roster for both BBQ’s. (See if you can pick out the problem)

11.30am -2.30pm  Jordy  Richard  Tarryn  Gaz
2.30pm-4:30ish  Ann Graham  Richard  Tarryn
Bunnings Hawthorn
Sunday 2nd April

11.30am -2.30pm Zac  Callum  House  Tarryn
2.30pm-4:30ish  Roy Spiers  David Gerrard  Rod Ansell  Tarryn
She won’t say anything but ‘I’ think that Tarryn might be a little overstretched in my opinion, so I’m asking for people to take over some of those spots for her.
What do you say people? Are you able to put your hand up and help out so Tarryn can have a break? We do this for your clubs benefit to provide all members with the necessary items we need to function throughout the season.

Bowls Tournament Update

The first round of the Bendigo Bank Bowls challenge kicked off this week with MLC being represented by Lisa Smith,
Kon Mitsopoulos, Gus Campbell and SKIP Chris Ive.
Starting off a bit rusty in the first game the MLC crew sprawled a few but got their eye in as the game went on
to narrowly be defeated by 1 Shot.
The second round saw our gang come up against some obviously very experienced bowlers.
Unfortunately in this game our opposition won an end by 3 shots on their “Powerplay” end to give them a 6 point lead.
Again we started a bit askew but came home with some exciting and very funny shots to lose by 4.
Although we lost our first 2 rounds we are still midfield in the comp and with our
Big Guns coming up in the next 3 weeks look for some higher rankings.
Sue Foley from Bendigo Bank stated that it was great to have MLC back in the tournament in 2017.
It was a lot of fun as well as showing support for our Major Sponsor.
