On Boxing Day, Sammy Anglicas was in a major car accident, and rushed to the intensive care unit (ICU) at the Alfred hospital.
He was sitting behind the driver in the passenger seat, inches away from where the car lost control and hit a tree.
His injuries are:
Two collapsed lungs with multiple punctures either side.
7-8 broke/fractured ribs
3 fractures in his pelvis/hip
Lacerated liver
Small fractures in the spine
And a few loose teeth
Basically he is lucky to still be around, if any of the injuries where a bit worse, or a bit to the left or right he could have died…
His recovery from here, get transferred to a rehab place, where they will help him learn to walk and breath easily again, basically try get him back to a day to day life.
After which he will on crutches/wheel chair for 3 months, after which his real rehab starts…Where he try to regain all the muscle and that, he has lost from not walking for a significant amount of time.
Everyone please get there and show your support for one of our own.
