Under 15’s
Malvern vs Footscray
A fantastic effort from the team this week. Defence kept everything solid and only conceded one goal while Attack were efficient and put 18 away past a very strong Footscary goalie. Special thanks to Kobe Cook and Matthew Arnold for coming up from under 13 and playing a big part in both attack and face off respectively. First against third next week as we play against Caulfield @ Chadstone.
Under 11’s
Another perfect day out for the U11’s this week against Chadstone in Chadstone. We might not have scored a goal this week, however that’s not a great indication of how well the team played.
Our newest recruit Amelia had her first ever game of lacrosse this week and what a start she made with plenty of game time and her first ground ball!!

Amy and Charlie peppered the goal all game & it’s a miracle one didn’t slip past the keeper.
We were also fortunate to have had Lydia’s friend Vicky join us for her first run at lacrosse and welcome her back any time she’s able to play.
Alfie, Zara, Thomas & Andy were all superb in defense this week, really holding back the tide. Well done team!

Division 3
Brandon “Cubby” Tran who has played seniors before was handy in attack and the midfield where he ‘revealed’ that he CAN run, much to the years of protest saying otherwise..
James “Casanova” Arnold, had his 1st game and showed that he could hold his own after getting a body check and just shrugging his shoulders and continued to run off with the ball… Kudos!
At one stage there was a midfield ‘string’ that went on and the combined age was 157!!
This consisted of ‘Finnigan-Forster and Currie’ who have a few games under their belt.
(I’ll let you try and work out the ages….) ; )Next week will be different as Malvern will now compete in Div 2 at the Town Hall against Altona, Div 3 have the ‘road trip’ to Bendigo and SL have a bye.
