Malvern Vs Eltham
With only 9 players available Malvern took the field ready to give it their best shot against 14 Eltham players. We came up with our game plan and played man down the whole game attacking their weaker links while holding out their better players. In attack we varied or game, attacking when it was on and slowing the ball down when it was not.
At half time a very tired and wet Malvern were still in the game. Eltham changed out their goalie to give them a lift out of the centre and a more attacking forward line.
This forced Malvern into a 4 zone with one locked off.
With the game going to extra time Eltham again scored and lead for most of the it.
Everyone playing stayed with the game plan, never giving up. We clawed our way back into the game again scoring the winning goal just before time.
Without doubt one of the best game of team lacrosse I have been involved with in my almost 30 years at Malvern.
Every player, take a bow and be proud of what you achieved. Votes go to everyone.

Good Team Game last week.
It was good to see that we were able to concentrate on our own game and Not get sucked in
by a couple of Numbsculls from the opposition.
We got some nice transition goals and our poles were very good.
Shooting on Goal was OK but we can really get the percentages Up in this area.
Ground ball effort was good with lots of room for improvement.
Tim Graham played a great team game, but we need to get him on the field.
Fitness was OK but we really did not get tested in that regard.
It is Now time that we start to do some running boys and get our fitness levels up right across the board.
Ok Training tomorrow night at the Town Hall. Start Time Officially is 5.30
so please let me know if for any reason you can’t get there by then.
If by any chance you can get there before that there will be someone there.
Get a goal out and practice your shooting.
This week’s game was listed on LV late last night and we play Willy at Home.
Be at The Town Hall by 9.30am.
Also I am wanting to know which boys are going to play Div 1 or Div 3 this year.
as the club selectors and relevant coaches are trying to work out their numbers.
Please speak to Steve Bown and let him know.
Even if you are thinking just playing when you are available.
