Lacrosse on Acesss 31 Tonight 6:30pm

Our friends at Fast Break Weekly (FBW) have been working hard putting together the “Lacrosse Show” to air on Channel 31 on the 21st July, 630PM.  Now the team have hit the big time, they have been a little hard to track down, but I am told it is good, very good.

So keep the date and time free for this historic event as you never know, you just might see yourself on the television.

Open Mic Night

Saturday 30th July 2011 7:30 onwards.

We are bringing back the Open Mic and Band Night. The Band which will be playing are “MACK”, which features two of our very own club members, Kon and Cammo Scott.

Everyone will get a chance to show what hidden talents they have, and yes we will have an interpreter for Pinky.

So come up to the club, get involved and have a go. The more the merrier.

Entry is $5, and drinks will be at the always club friendly prices.

Contact Kon on 0403-913-988 if you want to have a go, or just show up on the night!

Victorian Senior Men’s Lacrosse Team

The Victorian Senior Men’s Lacrosse Team have once again proven they are the best in Australia with a 10 – 8 victory over South Australia.

The Copy World Australian National Championships held in Adelaide proved tough for Victoria early on losing 17 – 5 to South Australia.  However in true Victorian fashion, the Big V put in a solid performance for the remainder of the week to give them a second chance at South Australia in the final.

The final proved to be a much closer encounter than the first game with Victoria winning the most important game of the week.

Victoria now has its name on the Garland McHarg Cup for the 5th straight year, which we think is the new record, surpassing that of Western Australia’s 4.

Congratulations to Glen Meredith, Murray Keen, Josh Naughton and Anthony Jenkinson, the Malvern members of the team.
