Clubrooms Cleanup and Packup Day
This is a reminder that as well as Senior Presentation Night on Saturday we are also doing final end-of-year clean-up and pack-up of the Clubrooms to hand over to Cricket Club for the summer season. There’s a lot to do, so the more of us can come along to help the quicker and easier it will be.
Jeff and others have already done quite a bit through this week, this will just be the final push to finish off.
Time: Saturday 18th September from 10am, aim to be finished by 12.

Some members may have been fined for parking in Gent St at Footscray Lacrosse Club & are now entitled to have the fine cancelled.
Quite a number of parking fines were issued to vehicles on the Gent Street side of Angliss Reserve, at the Footscray Lacrosse Club. This affected both Footscray members/parents and parents/members from other clubs. They were issued in July and August.
Our club submitted a letter to the Maribyrnong Council detailing the reasons why cars should not be fined, and the council was to put a freeze on these fines.
The residents of Gent Street and quite a number of FLC members met with Councillor Michael Clarke. Michael could not believe that fines were issued to the vehicles along this strip and after discussions with the bi-laws officer at the Maribyrnong Council has had the strip turned into angle parking. Signage will be constructed shortly. As such, all fines will be rescinded.
1. If you have paid this fine, contact Maribyrnong Council and state that you have been advised by Councillor Michael Clarke that all fines will be reimbursed.
2. If you have a fine and have not paid it, appeal this decision by e-mailing the council and advising that Michael Clarke stated that these fines will be rescinded.
I am requesting that a copy of your fines be scanned and e-mailed over to me. I am also a resident of Gent Street, and my neighbour is collecting as many copies of fines as possible, and we are wanting to band together and send all copies into the Council.
Please note: Councillor Michael Clarke wishes to apologise to Lacrosse Victoria and all members for this bureaucratic bungle.
Regards
Fiona Davies
Secretary
Footscray Lacrosse Club
